Christmas Wreaths

Okay, I know Christmas is over...but I finally have time to make some of the amazing projects I've seen in the last few months.  So today, I imitated a wreath I saw over at My Creative Time. (www.creativetimeforme.com)  I can use it to decorate next year, or maybe give it as a gift.  We will see next year!!!  But in the mean time, I sure had fun making it!  (Except for the nasty burn I got from the hot glue gun! hehehe)
Before

After

Recipe:
Empty Plain Wreath (ON sale at Michaels for $1.99)
All Around Christmas Stamp Set (My Creative Time)
Glittered pine cones (Hobby Lobby)
Little Berries (Hobby Lobby)
Stickles (Michaels)

Okay, I managed to fit this project in even with company from Washington here at my home!!!

Cutting Vinyl with My Cricut

Hello Everybody!  It has been a while since I posted anything.  I was so busy looking at other people's ideas for the holidays, I didn't have time to make much or post anything.  Okay, so now that the Christmas Hustle and Bustle is over....I finally had time tonight to do something I've wanted to do for over a year now!!!  My Bestie, Melissa showed me vinyl she cut out (snowflakes) over a year ago.  I kept telling myself that I would make a saying to put on the wall in L.T. and I's craft room. :) (It used to be his play room....now we play together....hehehehe)  I must admit, I did not come up with this saying on my own.  Rather I saw it on another blog and really thought it was PERFECT!  I am sooooo sorry to say, I can't remember who's blog it was....so if it is your saying and you are reading this.....thank you sooo much for sharing such an inspirational saying!    So here it is on the wall!!!  The first time I ever cut out vinyl!
I also must admit, I'm not all that happy with the way it turned out.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the saying.  I just don't like how it turned out on my wall.  Any suggestions.....?  I am open and more than willing to re do it.
Happy New Year, my creative friends!
Hugs,
Georgi

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #65

I made this card for my Bestie, Melissa who had surgery today in the hodpital.  I can't wait to bring her this card tomorrow and see her!!!
I used My Creative Time's Stamp set called, All Around Christmas for the Mrs. Clause Suit that I paper pieced after watching the video.  (Tip:  Don't use a small stamp!!!  This was really hard to cut out the tiny little pieces!)  The sentiment is from My Creative Time's This and That stamp set.
I used the sketch given at peachykeenstamps.blogspot.com  for challenge #65.  Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out a way to incorporate a cute little Peachy face on this one.  I have a limited number of stamps, so I couldn't do paper piecing and use a Peachy Face stamp. :(  Bummer.  I just love their cute little faces!!!
Well, it is time to read my little man his bedtime story.  I must go for now.  Happy Crafting, my Creative Friends!

Starburst Halloween Treats

I made these sweet little treats for my students tomorrow at school.  I wanted to share something special with them on this famous holiday! :)  I don't think I can bare to watch them open them up after all the work I put into putting them together. hehehehe  So I decided to share them here with you my creative friends.  Shared among friends who will appreciate all the hard work and love that went into making them.  :)  I used My Creative Time's All Around Halloween Stamp Set and Scallop and Circle Die set.  I used Tim Holtz orange Stickles to add that adorable little bling to the pumpkin!  The ribbon is from Michael's craft store and I just cut black cardstock 4" x 5 1/2 " to fit around the starburst candies!

Look how many students I have!  It takes FOREVER to make treats for 32 compared to 20!!!!!  Will I ever get used to it?

Halloween Cheese Ball Treats

These precious little monster treats were made by me and my four year old son, L.T.!  We had so much fun making them for him and his friends at preschool tomorrow!  He picked the monster from the Mini Monsters Cartridge and he stamped the faces from Peachy Keen's Monster Face Stamp Set.  I colored the faces in and tied ribbon around them to attach them to the baggies full of cheese balls.

I can't wait to share this little treats with his friends at preschool tomorrow! :)

Joy Board Book

Hello, my creative friends!  I am soooo super excited.  Emma at My Creative Time is having a Design Team Call.  I would love to be on her design team so I created the following project to enter into her DT challenge.  I made this board book for my niece Savannah for Christmas.  I got the idea from a video Emma (www.creativetimeforme.com) did last year for Halloween.  It was a board book that said, BOO!  I cut the chip board from a cereal box on my cricut using the deep cut blade.

I used the following products to make this little board book:
1.  Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Cardstock
2.  DCWV Holiday Collection, The Christmas Cardstock Stack
3.  Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More Cricut Cartridge
4.  Cuttin Up Cricut Cartridge
5.  Scallop & Stitched Circle Die (My Creative Time Die...  www.creativetimeforme.com)
6. Curly Label Die (My Creative Time Die.... www.creativetimeforme.com)
7.  All Around Christmas Stamp Set (My Creative Time...see above for website)
8.  Inspiring Words (Accents) (My Creative Time.... www.creativetimeforme.com)
9.  Stickles
10.  All ribbon and little jewels on back page are from Michael's Craft store.
11.  Glitter  red Felt ( I learned to use this from Emma too!  Her dies cut so nicely out of felt!)

Well, Good Night, my creative friends!  I can't wait to see if I get picked to be on Emma's new DT.  She is my crafty idol and I would be so honored to be part of her Design team.  All of her stamps and dies truly are TERRIFIC!  But most of all, she is the sweetest, most patient crafty teacher I've ever known.  I've been following her blog for about two years now.  I learned everything I know from her videos using her Gypsy.  In fact, I got a Gypsy for Christmas that first year they were out from my terrifically thoughtful husband.  I didn't even know what it was and wasn't even that excited.  My Bestie, Melissa, turned me on to Emma's blog at My Creative Time.  I started watching her videos and learned how to use my Gypsy.  Now I'm in love with this little piece of genius!  Emma has always been so accomodating in her videos and e-mails to answer my questions.  And although, I am an amateur at all this crafty business, I am thrilled to make thoughtful gifts for those God puts in my life!  And I am ever so grateful for all the neat tips and tricks I've learned from My Creative Time!

Cricut Card Challenge #88- Back to School

I made this poster for my classroom.  I am entering into the Cricut Card Challenge that request the 3 R's.  Ribbon, Rhinestones, and the color Red.  All of which I incorporated into my poster.  Being that we are in our first month back to school, I really couldn't take time to do a card when I have so much to do for my classroom.  So I was thrilled to be able to use my Cricut for my classroom poster I needed to make anyway. :)  I used the Creative Memories Travel Cartridge for the letters. (Available for purchase at my website, www.mycmsite.com/georgifelix1)  The Create a Critter Cartridge for the Book Worm and Peachy Keen Stamps for the adorable little face on this worm.  Critter Faces. :) (Available for purchase at www.peachykeensstamps.com)  Well that is it.  I am so excited to share it with my class tomorrow!!! :)

Back To School Poster for the Daily Five....3 Ways to Read a Book
